NZ SUP in conjunction with Takapuna Boating Club is pleased to host the 2023 NZ SUP National Race Championships this April at Takapuna Beach, Auckland.

The championships will feature sprint racing on Friday 14th, technical racing on Saturday 15th and distance racing on Sunday 16th April.  There will also be a social event at Takapuna Boating Club on Saturday evening.

This year sees a new development on the NZ SUP racing scene. As well as the overall championship series, for our elite paddlers competing in the sprints, ocean technical and long distance races, we have a new Challenger series for those who prefer to race in flatter water conditions.  To qualify for this series, competitors must take part in the challenger sprints, the challenger technical racing and either the 8km or 4km distance race. You are welcome to choose either distance but you will finish with a higher ranking overall if you complete the 8k distance. U16s and younger ages will be in the 4km race.   The challenger technical racing and 4km/8km distances will be on flat water.

So there really is something for everybody this year!
