2026 Hahei Development Camp - Registration

Please read the terms and conditions, then complete the below form to register for 2026 Hahei Development Camp. If registrations are full, you will be placed on a waitlist.

Each participant must fill out the form so we have the details of everyone taking part. Your details will only be used for the purposes of the Development Camp and for future NZSUP newsletters if you choose to receive these.

Water workshops (pick up to 3 you are most interested in)

SUP surfing - Progress in the skills of SUP surfing. SUP safety - Fundamentals and implications of attempting a rescue on a paddleboard or surfboard. Better turning - Work through a variety of turns. Paddle technique - The paddle stroke and focusing on improving efficiency. Smoother starts - The different styles of starts and improving yours (beach, dock, race, etc).

Classroom workshops (pick up to 2 you are most interested in)

SUP safety equipment - Understand what you should be carrying and wearing in different environments. SUP environment - Risk assessment and management, understanding conditions, reading forecasts. When things go wrong - What to do if things go wrong, preparing for problems. Understanding boards - Shapes, styles and classes, how to choose the best board for you.

Fitness to participate

I declare that I am medically and physically fit to participate - I can confidently paddle for at least 1km, and can swim at least 100 metres unassisted.
